Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has vowed to consider more help for farmers in New South Wales and Queensland, on top of the $190 million already announced, to help them deal with one of the worst droughts in Australian history.
That move is designed to help farmers deal with the here and now — but many are openly wondering why more isn’t being done to build resilience for the future.
