In November, the Soil CRC delivered a three-part webinar series on ‘Understanding farmers, sharing knowledge and reporting innovation’, to highlight some of the new knowledge, tools and guides developed by our researchers to supercharge engagement, collaboration and knowledge sharing with farmers.
Soil CRC Soil Knowledge Broker, Felicity Harrop, said more than 470 people registered for the webinars, showing strong demand for practical insights among extension officers, grower groups, researchers, policy makers and rural communicators nationwide.
“Soil CRC presenters shared timely guidance on what shapes farmer decision-making, how to communicate knowledge in ways that stick, and how to present research clearly using the Soil CRC’s new Risk/Reward Tool,” she said.
“The feedback from attendees was very positive. Most respondents indicated they would use what they learnt in their work or studies, and many requested more webinars on these topics.”
A warm thank you to our presenters — Hanabeth Luke (Murdoch University), Simon Kruger (West Midlands Group), David Brennan (Wimmera CMA), Naomi Scholz (AIR EP) and Joy Valle (Corrigan Farm Improvement Group) — for generously sharing their expertise, and to Program 1 leader Catherine Allan (Charles Sturt University) for moderating each session.
Keep an eye out for more Soil CRC webinars coming in 2026.
