Developing knowledge and tools to better manage herbicide residues in soil – Final project report
Herbicides are widely used in Australian agricultural systems for weed control. Some herbicides can persist in soil long enough to carry over from one cropping season to the next, which can pose a risk of injuring the following crop. Led by Dr Mick Rose, this project (4.2.001) aimed to develop new knowledge and tools for managing herbicide residues in soil. Read the final project report.
Knowledge Sharing Guide for Grower Groups (Project 1.2.006)
This Knowledge Sharing Guide is designed to be used as an easy reference for Australian farming grower groups and professionals involved in engagement, extension, education and other forms of knowledge sharing aimed at improving land and farm management. Read the guide.
Supporting farmer decision making for soil stewardship and profitability – Technical report
An inventory of Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Tools (DST) designed specifically for soil management, or for farm enterprises with a soil emphasis.
This document identifies existing (2018) systems and tools designed to assist farmer decision making associated with soil management, comments on their currency and considers the potential for the Soil CRC to further evaluate them and/or use them to assist farmer decision making in the future.

This project (4.3.003) investigated the effects of drought on soils and strategies for managing them. Read the final project report.
Why soil management practices are adopted – Final project report
This project (1.2.002) developed a framework that provides a useful way to assess adoptability of an innovation. Read the final project report.
Smelling soil – Final project report
The Smelling Soil project (2.1.004) determined if a low-cost electronic nose could provide an indication of soil biological activity and soil health. Read the final project report.
