The Risk/Reward Tool Writing Guiding and User Documentation was developed to support agricultural industry project and extension officers in improving the accessibility of information provided to farmers when they are deciding on adopting a new farming practice or technology.

The package consists of a user guide, report templates, and case study examples of the three tools developed as part of the Soil CRC project ‘A new tool to better assess the risk/reward of new farming practices and technologies’ (1.4.005).

These were developed by the West Midlands Group, Corrigin Farm Improvement Group and Central West Farming Systems, with support from Charles Sturt University. User testing of the three tools and this guide was completed with both next users (farming systems groups, extension officers, etc.) and end users (farmers), with each tool being developed and refined through feedback from both parties.
