In this webinar, Associate Professor Hanabeth Luke (Murdoch University Sustainable Agriculture Specialist and Soil CRC Project Leader) shares insights from the Soil CRC’s ‘What drives farmer decisions?’ research. This research delves into the motivations, perceptions and decision-making of growers across multiple Australian regions (Tasmania, the Wimmera region of Victoria, North Central Victoria, Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, Central West NSW, and the WA Wheatbelt).

Project participants, David Brennan (Chief Executive Officer of Wimmera Catchment Management Authority) and Naomi Scholz (Executive Officer of Ag Innovation and Research Eyre Peninsula), speak about their involvement in the research and highlight how their organisations have used the findings of the rural landholder surveys in their regions.

This webinar was the second of a three-part series titled ‘Understanding farmers, sharing knowledge and reporting innovation’. It was delivered by the Soil CRC on 12 November 2025. The other webinars in this series will be available on the Soil CRC’s YouTube channel and Knowledge Hub.
