The Victoria Branch of Soil Science Australia hosted an in-person and online event to explore how better soil data, deeper understanding of soil water and clearer insights into regenerative agriculture can support more informed decisions on farms and across the agricultural sector.

Dr Christine Storer (Charles Sturt University), A/Prof Peter Dahlhaus (Federation University Australia) and research hydrologist Sam North shared practical project insights from the Soil CRC:

  • Accessing soil data using the Visualising Australasia’s Soils web portal
  • Soil management influences on crop water availability
  • A robust framework for assessing economic and social outcomes for farming systems.

This free event was delivered by the Soil Science Australia Victoria Branch and supported by the Soil CRC. The webinar was recorded on 24 June 2026.
