In this video SARDI soil scientist Dr Nigel Wilhelm takes you on a field-walk through a trial site that is part of the new calcareous soil investment project. Dr Wilhelm also demonstrates 2 simple field tests used to measure pH and detect the presence of calcium carbonate in these crop hostile soils.
